NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 2016

Yesterday one of the more thrilling happenings in the fashion world finally kicked off, that's right, New York Fashion Week A/W 16. No matter what city, I think fashion week always is an exciting time with many things to look forward to. Some of my personal favourite categories include celebrity spotting on the front rows, seeing the new collections of my favourite designers and the flood of street style photos of the various fashionistas attending the shows. If that doesn't give you an overload of inspiration than I don't know what. Some of the highlights this year are Kanye West and season 3 of his Yeezy collection. The show is to be held at Madison Square Garden where highlights includes the release of Mr West’s new anticipated album, Waves, but also a performance by Vanessa Beecroft and of cores the newest shoe addition to the brand. However, aside from all the commotion, the question whether Kanye West is a good designer or not, we'll save for another day.

Fans of Rihanna definitely have something extra to look forward to as her first collection for Puma will premiere on the catwalk during the week. Whether she does fashion as well as music remains to see to see but I have a good feeling about this and due her great personal style and all around cool aura, I think that Puma did wisely to take on a collaboration with the pop star.
